A good starting point.
Before you press the shutter.

The beta is tuned for three-exposure Sony sets. Other cameras and single JPEGs are accepted and still being tuned. Bracketed exposures, 3 to 5 a photo, as camera JPEG or HEIF (drone single shots work too). We edit bracketed HDR, not flambient. RAW+JPEG cards work: we use the JPEGs.

01 / Hold the composition

Keep the camera steady.

Use a tripod and keep framing, focus and aperture consistent through each set.

02 / Keep the information

Bring all three exposures.

Keep original filenames and camera metadata. Don’t combine different views into one bracket group.

03 / Check the result

Test a difficult room.

Review the windows, walls and mixed light before changing your regular shooting workflow.

About the course’s camera lesson

The older lesson teaches a different bracket spacing. This dated guide describes the current houseedits beta starting point; the original lesson remains available.
